Kobudo Camp 2017

Why should you attend Kobudo Camp?

Expands your awareness of the “weapon” in almost any object.  Helps you gain insight into the concepts of “focus” and “opposite reactions” in self-defense.  Demonstrates a direct relationship to your empty hand karate movements.  Develops your hands, arms, and wrists for more effective empty hand movements.   Helps you understand distance, timing, and targets for self-defense.  Connects you to a legitimate history for your own training.  Provides you with upper body training like no other.  And much more….

It is once again our honor and privilege to have Dr. Crayton Moss join us for Kobudo Camp.  He has been coming to Auburn since 2005 to teach Kobudo and to rank A.K.E.A. students in his system, the  American Kempo Karate and Weapons.   Shihan Moss’ relationship with the A.K.E.A. goes back further than that though.  He and Mr. Harmaning began training together in 1982 at Northwest Nazarene University.  You can read more about their history here.  Check out pictures from last year’s Camp in the gallery.

This year we will be offering Camp for adults (13 and over), Kids Camp for first year attendees, as well as Advanced Kids Camp.  We invite you to participate in this fun and valuable event.  Please go to the All Things Kobudo page for more detailed information and to view videos of the forms that will be taught this year.
